Synopsis
Golf Made Easy! begins with all the basic knowledge you need to know about the game. This golf instruction book for beginners provides the A to Z for golf aficionados in a logical, simple and fun way.

It describes a typical golf course, different types of clubs, ball selection, different types of the game, and some basic golf course terminology. It then transitions to stretching and exercise, which is important on the course. These easy-to-perform basic exercises can help save several strokes off your score!

Learn about putting, chipping, pitching and the full stroke performed with irons, which leads into the big long drive. Amaze your golfing buddies by making some basic specialty shots that are also easy to learn.

The basics are presented with putting being first. This goes against all traditional methods of teaching, where driving is taught first. Since half the game is putting, why not learn it first? Plus, it's fun to be able to put the ball in the hole on your first lesson!

Other basics covered are fitting your clubs to get the most out of them by making the clubs personally fit you, and you'll also get a quick overlook of the rules and etiquette of the game.

Take some practice drills and you'll be all ready in no time for the greens. Fore!

Golf Made Easy! A Backward Approach to Learning Golf Or Is It? edition by Jeffrey W Kern Humor Entertainment eBooks

Golf Made Easy! a Backward Approach to Learning Golf... or Is It? is an introductory reference for people considering taking up this sport. Author Jeffrey W. Kern starts the education process from the very beginning. He discusses the way courses are set up and the types of terrain a golfer will encounter in each one. Then he talks about golf clubs and any other equipment you may need. He shows how you can get started simply by borrowing a friend or neighbor's clubs and work towards getting the set best suited for you and your playing style later on. Kern then gives the reader clear and concise instructions for playing in every type of situation, as well as a series of exercises, practice drills, and warm-up sessions.

I've never played golf (except for the miniature variety as a child) and have always wondered about the sport. It's always appeared to be a sport that seemed inaccessible and required too much initial outlay. Golf Made Easy! helped me understand what getting into golfing actually entails and it did so in a way that was entertaining and informative. I love the many illustrations and tips for balancing balls, checking out the center of a club head, and even the benefits of getting a caddie. Jeffrey W. Kern's book won't make you into a good golfer if you don't put in the effort, but, if you do make the effort and follow the advice he gives in this deceptively slim volume, you've got the tools necessary to play a good game of golf.

Golf Made Easy! A Backward Approach to Learning Golf Or Is It? edition by Jeffrey W Kern Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews

Golf is the sport of choice for many weekend warriors. It is at once simple to play, almost impossible to master, and offers hours of fun and exquisite torture. It’s a common method for bonding with friends, for work, play, and sometimes just to get out of the house for a few hours.

But what of us beginners? How do we get started? Should we buy the best clubs around? What about the methods and theory to golf? While I’m the least qualified to ask, Jeffery W. Kern steps in to help.

Golf Made Easy in a guide for all of us beginners wanting to get started in the game. Jeffery took the unorthodox approach of starting with the short game, putting, before tackling the part of the game we think about when we think of golf, which for me would be driving the ball down the fairway.

He takes care in giving us terms we need to know, and the rules of the game. He instructs via illustrations and photos, as well as explaining the reasons behind the theory. This book is a great primer to playing the actual game itself.

Thought this was going to be a useful book based on the reviews. But when I saw the set of photos about how to hold a driver I realized something was incredibly wrong. The photo shows a man holding the club cross handed. He is holding a right-handed club and looks like he is preparing to hit as a left-hander! The other crazy thing about all the photos is that the people who are demonstrating how to hold the golf clubs look like they were picked up off the street and asked to hold golf clubs while the author took their photo. This book is supposed to be based on the great idea that you start with the simplest type of stroke in golf, putting. Then work your way to the most complex shot, hitting with the driver. It doesn't matter how great the idea is supposed to be, when the picture for the most difficult stroke is wrong. It shows that this book was hastily put together to make a buck. And unfortunately I contributed to the author's coffers by the bad decision to purchase this book.
